If you are a person who likes to spend their downtime dabbling in arts and crafts Redlands Hospital Auxiliary needs your help.
The auxiliary’s Koala Kiosk is in need of craft items to sell to the general public for volunteers at the kiosk to continue to raise funds for the hospital.
Though the auxiliary cannot accept second hand items, they can accept a large variety of hand made items such as crocheted tea towels, baby clothes, hand made dresses, face washers and rugs and blankets.
Items can be dropped into the staff at the Koala Kiosk seven days a week during its opening hours of 8am to 3.30pm and auxiliary member Deslie Brady said all craft items will be welcomed.
“Just bring it in for us and anything you donate will be very much appreciated,” she said.
Staffed by volunteers much of the funds raised by the auxiliary come via the kiosk which is stocked with craft items donated by members of the wider Redlands community.
As recently as March this year funds raised by the auxiliary were used to purchase new chairs for the waiting room of Redlands Hospital’s emergency department.
