ENROLLING young humans in their first year of public school has already started for 2018 across the state.
Administrators and government schools appreciate enrollments being made as soon as possible to help with planning for the coming school year.
There can be a lot to think about before your child starts their many years of formal education. If, for whatever reason, you want to avoid the particular public school that the system chooses based on where you live, it can be difficult.
In order to get accepted for an out of area enrolment at a public school there can be multiple criteria to meet, not least of which is the mere availability of a place at the desired school. Children from the designated area obviously get priority.
For reasons based on circumstance, location, or simply personal preference, there’s also the option of distance education or home education. These follow the same approved curriculum as schools with classrooms and utilise the support of paid teachers via regular communication.
