A 36-YEAR-OLD man found “passed out” on Pittwin Road South will front Cleveland Magistrates Court today after he allegedly became abusive towards police.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said it would be alleged the man threatened police with a knife after being woken despite repeated directions for him to drop the weapon.
“The man then threw the knife on the ground and he was arrested,” the spokesperson said.
The incident happened at Capalaba about 2am on Sunday, November 12.
The Bundamba man was charged with a string of offences including possessing a knife in a public place and two counts each of both police assault and obstruction.
He will appear at the Cleveland Magistrates Court today, Monday, November 13.
