SOME of Redlands busiest and most in need schools will receive a funding boost from the LNP if they form government after November 25.
More than $3 million dollars has been committed by the LNP to go to towards teaching facilities, classrooms, out door learning areas and playgrounds.
Redlands MP Matt McEachan said Redland Bay State School was bursting at the seams.
“Victoria Point High also needs investment and Russell Island State School needs a new toilet block,” he said.
Mr McEachan said the Redland District Special School would get more teaching facilities, Victoria Point State School would get kitchen upgrades and there would be more money for the well respected Early Childhood Education Program.
He said last week’s announcement by Labor on school spending showed Redlands schools would miss out.
“This didn’t go unnoticed by parents,” he said.
“Not one of the other candidates standing for election have spoken up for the Redlands school community. They should be ashamed of themselves.
“Only the LNP is committed to supporting our kids education.”
