BAYSIDE Patrol crime prevention coordinator Sergeant Chris Hebblethwaite has urged residents to lock their cars and keep valuables hidden.
The advice has come after wallets, containing personal identification, were stolen from two unlocked cars parked in the Redlands in the past week.
“Remove or place out of sight all valuables and personal documents,” Sergeant Hebblethwaite said.
He said the theft of personal identification was linked to an increase in identity fraud, which has risen by 32.1 per cent in the past year.
