Mates Theatre Genesis presents Love Letters for the annual Australia Day play to be performed at the Redland Museum with seven shows in three weeks from January 26 to February 10.
Six people will tell the story of Andrew Makepeace and Melissa Gardner through reading letters that span 50 years. Playing the young Andrew and Melissa will be Taine Harding and Chelsea August with the young adults being played by Dallas Fogarty and Jackie Wiley and Brian Gamble and Jan Nary as Andrew and Melissa in their later years.
In the letters, the two write about their dreams, victories and ambitions. It was written by AR Gurney and was a finalist for the Pulitzer prize for drama.
Performances will be held on January 26 and 27 and February 2,3,9 and 10. Evening performances include a two-course dinner under the stars. There is a matinee performance and afternoon tea on February 3 for $25. Tickets can be booked through the museum on redlandmuseum.org.au or phone 3286 3494
