MACLEAY Island police have urged Southern Bay Moreton Island residents to lock their cars and remove valuables when parking in unsecured areas.
The advice has come after an 18-year-old was arrested on Tuesday, November 28 for allegedly siphoning fuel from a car parked near Macleay Island jetty.
The man was charged with stealing and wilful damage and is set to appear at Cleveland Magistrates Court on Wednesday, December 20.
