THE major influence on all waterways and fishing options is the rain and subsequent run off and that will dominate fishing options for the next month.
The best place to head is to fish inside bar entrances or on the eastern side of the Bay.
Land based anglers are best to head for cleaner water, the Broadwater and Gold Coast seaway are your best options.
There are still a few whiting in the Nerang River but even it is starting to look a bit dirty.
Rivers in the northern Broadwater are also an option, especially on the last of the run in tide.
The Albert and Logan rivers are chocolate and flooding.
There may be a bull shark or threadfin in there but I think it will be a long time between bites.
The Moreton Bay foreshores do not look too bad but the fishing has been pretty ordinary.
