REDLANDS athletes broke four state records and won 28 medals at the Queensland State Little Athletics Carnival on the weekend.
Under 13 athlete Laura Peeters was selected for the Australian Little Athletics Championships on the Gold Coast on April 28.
She will compete in the 800m and 1500m events.
The state records were broken by Nelson McCutcheon and Anika Clarke in their race walk events, Will Degraaf in 60m hurdles and Taylah Hazel in 400m.
The 42-member Redlands team won 14 gold medals, seven silver and seven bronze.
The majority of athletes also achieved personal bests during the championships.
Under 12 athlete Zane Pearce brought home gold medals for the 400m, 800m and 1500m events, while Will Degraaf (under 10) won gold for high jump and 60m hurdles.
The event follows the regional championships in which Redlands athletes brought home 44 gold medals, 28 silver and 25 bronze, and achieved 10 regional best performances.
