BELLY dancers, mardi gras performers and a samba drum group helped bring colour to Redland Showgrounds on Monday.
The entertainment was part of Redlands Easter Family Festival.
Organiser Peter Sutter said the carnival-themed line-up, which performed between gospel messages, was aimed at drawing a younger crowd to Christianity and to connect with the community.

“The churches organising it are not on an evangelical crusade,” he said.
“People can come for rides and food and if they want to connect to a church, that can happen.”
More than 15,000 people walked through the show gates for the day of free outdoors fun. The giant slippery was proved popular, as was the gravitron and other mechanical rides.
Mr Sutter said he believed about 10 per cent of festival goers had visited from outside the Redlands.
About 20 churches were involved in the Easter festival, including Brisbane congregations, with more than 400 volunteers signed-up to help out.
