COUNCIL is calling for locals to showcase their talents and passion for the Redlands in place brand promotions.
Deputy mayor Lance Hewlett said this was an opportunity for locals to help share the Redlands further afield.
Council wants people to demonstrate what is great about the coast, islands, bushland, rural areas, rainforest, villages and urban centres across the Redlands.
Redland residents and business owners of all ages, genders and walks of life are encouraged to submit their interest in being considered for roles in promotional photography, video and film.
The call follows council’s community engagement on place branding last year, which saw almost 5000 people provide input into the project through surveys, consultations and workshops.
Dozens of budding authors have also submitted stories in council’s Our Redlands story competition.
Cr Hewlett said the city’s new place brand would highlight all that was wonderful about the Redlands and he urged locals from all parts of the city to submit their interest in being included in the promotional activities.
“The place branding will bring greater attention to the beautiful Redlands,” he said.
“With that will come an injection into the local economy as visitors stay here and use local businesses.”
The submission of interest process includes completing a short survey and submitting a photo or video file.
