The Fastpitch Championship League is a national sport organisation focused on promoting, developing and running a national competition in Fastpitch softball in Australia and New Zealand. It was formed to focus on producing and organising a national competition and has evolved to produce programs to help promote the sport of softball. This includes clinic, learn to play and get involved.
The sport promises to deliver drama between pitcher and hitter, bunter and homerun swing, stolen bases and big defensive players perhaps playing out in a single innings or at all one moment. The speed of the game is generated every time the pitcher releases and fastball from 13 metres away at more than 110kph.
