DRIVERS can help the RACQ, the state’s peak motorist body, identify Queensland’s worst roads.
RACQ spokesperson Lucinda Ross said the Unroadworthy Roads Survey 2018, which opens today, was a quick and easy way for motorists to voice their concerns.
“As drivers, we’re all too familiar with those frustrating and troublesome roads in our area,” she said.

“Whether it’s a road that’s full of potholes, is narrow, lacks overtaking lanes and line markings, or is the first to go under when it rains – we need your help in pinpointing it.”
She said the results wold be used by RACQ to lobby local, state and federal governments to prioritise funding for road upgrades and maintenance.
More than 400 substandard roads across Queensland were identified in last year’s survey.
Previous surveys had led to funding for the Bruce Highway and Pacific Motorway.
“We all deserve to have a say on where we want our rates and taxes spent – but we can’t help get the right roads fixed if we don’t know where they are,” she said.
“You’re our eyes on the ground and your suggestions could help save lives, or simply make the commute a little more bearable for everyone using that particular road.”
Survey participants can go into the draw to win one of two $250 EFTPOS gift cards.
The survey closes on June 18. To complete, visit here.
