COUNCIL will conduct a hazard reduction burn in the Scribbly Gums Conservation Area at Alexandra Hills on Tuesday.
The burn is part of their fire management program.
A council spokesperson said attempts would be made to limit smoke hazards.
“Anyone suffering from asthma or other respiratory conditions is encouraged to keep doors and windows closed and minimise their time outdoors,” the spokesperson said.
Residents are asked to stay away from the area during the burns which are expected to take place on Tuesday, May 22.
The Scribbly Gums Conservation Area is east of Vienna Road and has access from Flinders Street in the north.
