PLANNING help ahead of the National Disability Scheme roll-out across the Redlands is being offered by STAR Community Services.
The NDIS will be introduced to the region from July 1. The change means eligible recipients must have tailored support plans prepared and submitted to the NDIS agency for service funding approval.
STAR Care Services manager Melissa Bannerman said it was important those with disabilities and their families understood how the process worked.
“One-on-one pre-planning is all about ensuring NDIS participants and their carers know what to expect from the NDIS and how to secure the funding to achieve their life goals,” she said.
