REDLANDS Centre for Women is appealing for help from the community to fund their services.
Started by Katrina Beutel 11 years ago to help women going through difficult times, the charity delivers programs and activities to women of all ages from its premises at Cleveland.
The centre’s Kerri Long said they had a small number of part-time staff members, supported by dedicated volunteers, who ran the centre.
“We receive no recurrent government funding,” Ms Long said.
“We rely on the support of our community through donations, membership, fundraising, sponsorship, small grants, partnerships with like-minded local businesses and organisations, and support from more than 70 registered volunteers.
“This crucial community support helps us deliver our valuable programs to women from all ages, stages and lived experiences to help them lead stronger, meaningful and more fulfilling lives.”
Ms Long said donations were used to help fund the programs and services.
“No matter how small, your donation will help us fulfil our mission of educating, connecting and empowering women in the Redlands.”
