An free information session will be held on Parkinson’s and movement disorder from 9am to 1pm at the Redland Bay Golf Club on Saturday, July 21.
The session is of interest for people with the condition and their carers and is hosted by the Queensland Brain Institute’s Asia-Pacific Centre for Neuromodulation, based in the University of Queensland. Other conditions under discussion will be dystonia, essential tremor and Tourette’s syndrome.
Keybote speakers include clinical neurologists Professor Peter Silburn and Dr Annabelle Sellbach, neurosurgeon Associate Professor Terry Coyne, clinical nurse specialist Lisa Cooke and senior research fellow Dr Susannah Tye.
