Meat lovers hop in for their chop

The Local Butcher owner Gary Stenzel said they have been offering superior products to their Manly clientale for about three years.  

"The quality of the meat we produce is all good stuff and I've been buying from the same suppliers and business has increased three fold," he said. 

"We sell Tasmanian lamb, grafted beef, Pilton Valley Pork and local chicken. 

"We make all our own small goods sausages and hams. 

"We do 12 different variety of sausages and we make all our own naturally smoked ham and bacon." 

The butcher also makes their own pies and specialties include Beef and Guiness also Lamb and Rosemary. 

Mr Stenzel said what makes them a cut above the rest is their community focus, consistency of customer service and a top notch product.

"We are independent and our quality will be superior to what you get in the supermarkets and in other butchers because our clientele here are looking for quality. 

“We support Australian farmers and as a local butcher we can give better quality, service and advice. 

"We can give tips about the right cut to buy and that's what we're here for is free advice." 

“I spent a lot of times on farms as a boy and I am interested in this type of work being in the industry since 15.”

He said people in Manly are shopping for winter now buying roasts and bacon bones for pea and ham soup. 

“It’s a really nice suburb to shop in it’s like a seaside village and there’s really nice customers,” he said.
