STRADDIE local Julie Elliott was in the right place at the right time to meet Hollywood superstars Chris Hemsworth and Matt Damon.
Ms Elliott was at the Point Lookout Bowls Club at a business workshop for her soap-making business when participants heard a helicopter landing nearby.
They went to look and found Mr Hemsworth getting out of the chopper.
He was met by Matt Damon and a woman believed to be Mr Hemsworth’s wife Elsa Pataky.
Ms Elliott said the pair were more than happy to have their photo taken with her.
“Chris Hemsworth even grabbed my phone and said he’d take it,” she said.
She told them she hoped the weather would improve.
On Monday, MPs Mark Robinson and David Crisafulli found Mr Damon on Cylinder Beach during a visit to North Stradbroke Island.
Ms Pataky is in the cast for the Netflix series Tidelands. Scenes for the supernatural crime drama have been shot around the Redlands since last month.
The cast list for the series is understood to also include Aaron Jakubenko, Lucy Lawless, Charlotte Best, Mattias Inwood and Brad McMurray.
