NEARLY 300 gymnasts from about 13 clubs competed at the YMCA Victoria Point on the weekend.
The event was the YMCA Victoria Point invitational competition.
Athletes in levels 3 to 6 took to the floor, bars, beam and vault during the two day event.
A total of 10 YMCA Victoria Point gymnasts placed in top three positions.
In level 3 under 8 Natasha Matiyenga came second overall, first on beam and second on floor, while Jessica Fontyne placed second on vault.
In level 3 open Samantha Greensill came first overall and second on vault, beam and floor, Jessica Hudson placed second overall, first on vault and floor and third on bars, while Kylie Rodda came third on vault.
In level 5 open Sophie Rowland placed third on vault and floor, while Ava Taylor came second on vault and floor.
In level 6 under 12, Keeley Wilson placed third overall, second on floor and third on bars.
In level 6 open, Jessica Ewan placed second overall and second on vault and beam, while Kai Hoare came third on floor.
The next event for the YMCA Victoria Point women’s artistic gymnasts is the Queensland Club Championships.
They will be at the Caloundra Indoor Stadium from June 29 to July 3.
