FEATURE artists for the Old Schoolhouse Gallery exhibition in August are member artist Kathy Delaney and her guest, previous gallery member Geoff Sear.
They reflect their love and passion for the Australian environment in the August exhibition Just Nature’s Beauty.
An artist for 15 years and gallery member since 2016, Ms Delaney uses oils on canvas. She was a frequent exhibitor in the Salford Waters Kingfisher Art Show and feature artist for more than seven years.
Ms Delaney received a Most Promising Artist award and was feature artist at Waterloo Bay Arts Show.
Reflecting the natural world, Ms Delaney’s style is traditional landscape inspired by the sea and Australian gum trees.
Mr Sear’s imagination takes him on adventures with local timbers resulting in stunning sculptural work.
He introduces newer works incorporating Venetian and dichroic glass. Mr Sear also produces Australian-themed hat racks created by blending recycled materials and fine Australian timbers.
Just Nature’s Beauty opens on August 4 from 6pm until 7:30pm and is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9.30am to 4.30pm until September.
The Old Schoolhouse Gallery is at 124-126 Shore Street North, Cleveland Point. Entry is free and there is off-street parking and wheelchair access.
The Winter Art Market and July’s exhibition raffle draw will be at the gallery on Sunday, July 29 from 8am.
