POLICE are urging anyone who may have seen a hit-and-run, involving a car hitting a pedestrian this morning at Cleveland to come forward.
Emergency services were called to the corner of Bloomfield Street and Middle Street just before 8.30am after reports of a woman being struck at a low speed outside the library.
Paramedics said the female in her 60s with minor injuries was assessed but did not require transportation.
A police spokesman said police officers were making further inquiries to see if anyone saw the incident to track down the car.
“It appears that the car did not remain at the scene after the incident,” he said.
“Police are looking for anyone who may have seen the car for a description.”
