REDLANDS Ray Baseball Club have held their first come and try session and sign-on days with more to come.

These sessions will give anyone interested in playing baseball a chance to “try before they buy” with all necessary equipment provided at the fields on the day.

Trial days will be held after sign-on for coaches to assess players and decide on teams for the 2018-19 season to begin in October.

Anyone from four years up to masters can join.

No prior experience is needed.

Baseball in Queensland had a boost in June with a Gold Coast team becoming the first state team to win an Australian Baseball Championship, earning them a spot in the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania.

The team includes Ty Iddon, a former member of Rays Little League Devilrays team.
