NATHAN Duff is a man who is calling, and taking, all the shots.
The Mount Cotton photographer has started his own magazine, called Retromotive, which brings to life the stories of classic cars and their owners.
Mr Duff, 40, said he was inspired to start the quarterly rag to fill a niche market.

He said not many other print publications were focused solely on vintage vehicles like his.
“A lot of people, like me, love looking at pictures and reading about cars in a magazine,” he said.
“It’s not the same as looking online, where you forget about something straight away and then, if you want to go back, can’t find it again.”
Mr Duff, who has already prepared the magazine’s second edition for its September release, said the challenge of putting together a print magazine had been exciting.
Working ahead was a top priority, to make sure deadlines were not missed.
“There’s a bit of planning … and I am spending all my spare time on it,” he said.
But the project has been an enjoyable one, with vintage car owners always willing to share their stories, he said.
“Car people are always happy to talk,” he said.
“Plus there’s good photographic locations and a strong car culture across the Redlands.”
