PINK streamers, balloons, cupcakes and golf balls will be seen at Coochiemudlo Island in October to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation.
Organiser Debi Sayer with the help of some community members is hosting multiple events to raise awareness for the breast cancer support and education charity by turning the island pink.
Ms Sayer said she was inspired to help when she heard of the pink up a town campaign.
“I have a couple of friends and neighbours who have cancer and unfortunately it is something that a lot of people are affected by,” she said.
“I thought if I can help in any way, why not?”
Ms Sayer said she urged Redland residents to help by attending the events in October or donating items for a garage sale fundraiser.
“They can come to a beautiful little island with a great community spirit to raise funds for a great cause while having fun,” she said.
