CHILDREN across the Redlands are transforming into characters from novels to celebrate Australia’s Book Week.
Proud Redland mothers have shared photos of their children dressed in their favourite character to kick off the celebration this week.
Schools, libraries, authors, illustrators and children are encouraged to host parades and displays with this year’s theme, Find Your Treasure.
The Children’s Book Council of Australia is bringing children and books together for the event from August 18 to August 24.
Many Redland schools are celebrating the week with activities and dress up days to celebrate Australian literature.
The CBCA is welcoming book lovers to use the hashtag #CBCA2018 to spread the word and share their pictures.
