Mick Los Angeles brings his talent to the next club social for Redlands Modern Country Music Club to be held at its cubhouse, Pinklands Sports Reserve, 226 Cleveland Redland Bay Road, Thornlands on September 1.
Doors open at 4:30pm with the music starting at 5pm and Angeles performing at 7.45pm.
Angeles has been in the music industry since his early teens playing in pub rock and cabaret bands. Known for dressing in character, he has performed as Elvis, ABBA, Tom Jones and Willie Nelson.
A member of the Peninsula country music club, he regularly appears at clubs throughout Brisbane where he likes to fill in as lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist and bass player. He is a self-taught musician and plays guitar, bass, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, piano, with aspirations of learning flute and violin.
The club house is a semi-outdoor venue and patrons are advised to bring a chair, a jumper and insect repellent.
Members of the club also offer a variety of country music entertainment. Walk up artists are invited to perform and members of the public are welcome to attend.
Admission is $4 for members and $5 for visitors. A barbeque meal will be available and a licensed bar will operate. There is free tea and coffee and a free country style supper will be served at 8:30pm.
