THE builder of a penthouse overlooking Raby Bay expects it will bring a record sale price for a Redlands apartment of about $3 million.
The penthouse at One Fitzroy covers almost 61 squares and has views across Raby Bay towards Moreton Bay and across Cleveland.
Developer Chris Anderson who built the One Fitzroy apartment block said the property was drawing interest around the nation and was listed for offers of more than $2.990 million.
Mr Anderson said one of his favourite aspects of the property was its “inside out” living.
“We worked with designers to create this and achieved a sensational outcome with the installation of 13 metres of full-height bi-fold doors that when opened combine the inside of the penthouse to the huge north-facing outdoor terrace,” he said.
“That means sensational bay views are with you day and night.”
Mr Anderson said the property was designed after extensive research.
“We spoke with many people who felt they were stuck in their huge homes, alone, after the family has moved on and they wanted something that was akin to their style, taste and need for space,” he said.
“We spoke too, to those busy young professionals with a family who want the bay lifestyle without the maintenance and hassles of acreage.”
The apartment comes with parking for four vehicles and a storage shed in the basement.
“Inside we’ve ensured that storage areas are expansive and discrete,” Mr anderson said.
“In fact, there’s more storage inside and out than in most luxury homes.
“... I am proud of what we achieved and we’ve done it to an exacting standard.”
All five bedrooms have ensuites, there is a private lift, a lady’s vanity area, family, media, rumpus rooms and a snazzy kitchen and office, with space stretching back through the dining area.
Mr Anderson said the fact that the building was so close to all Cleveland CBD services also was an attraction to buyers.
The block was named after the street upon which it sits.
