MORE than 800 competitors took part in the inaugural Redlands Coast Fun Run at Raby Bay earlier this month.
The fun run, managed by Bayside Runners and Walkers, consisted of 10 kilometre, five kilometre and one kilometre courses.
More than 50 volunteers were involved to make the event a success.
The race was started by Redland City Council mayor Karen Williams and the course took in foreshore and bay views.
Performers provided entertainment along the race route and children were kept busy with a jumping castle and face painter.
Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School at Cleveland had the largest school team.
The Redlands Coast Fun Run took the place of the Koala Fun Run, which was initiated by Redland City Council in 2011.
