RAIN may have cancelled a Brisbane drag racing event but the spirits of three Redlands competitors has not been dampened.
James Moore, Scott Hoffman and Sam Kiprios all qualified to race in the Honeywell Garret Brisbane Jamboree at Willowbank Raceway last Sunday, which was called off due to wet weather.
The three men had competed in qualifying heats the day before, with all happy with their performances.
“We are really happy with how the event played out on Saturday, it was really flowing well and everything ran on time,” Mr Moore said.

Mr Moore said he had competed in the annual event for the past six years and would be back again next year, with the sentiment shared by Mr Hoffman and Kiprios.
““The international interest of jamboree continues to grow with cars coming from overseas,” Mr Kiprios said.
“It’s also experiencing great growth on social media with the live coverage of the events, which I think has been great.”
The next jamboree event will be in Sydney in March next year, with the event set to return to Brisbane in August 2019.
