THE Isle of Coochie Golf Club is supporting 12-year-old Miranda Newton to receive pro-level coaching.
Miranda is the club’s 2018 junior champion.
The club’s Coochie Hackers decided to promote Miranda – a student at Carmel College – because she showed such promise.
The Hackers are a less formal component of the main club.
They have a large following among islanders and visitors who just want to have a hit without the competitive factor of the main club game.
Miranda has been accepted as a junior member at Redland Bay Golf Club and will receive sponsored pro-level coaching, thanks to the Hackers.
The Coochie club welcomes visitors to their regular PSA or Pleasant Saturday Afternoon event.
Newcomers to the game get to play on the course for just a $2 donation.
Balls and clubs are supplied.
