THE Raiders Netball team in the cadets 5 competition were undefeated this season, beating the Wynnum Lady Bugs 35-19 in the grand final.
This year’s win follows last year’s win at intermediate level by the Thorneside-based team.
With four teams in grand finals events this year, the Raiders Netball Club took out three competitions.
The cadets 5 team was coached by Merrilyn Langworthy, assisted by Rod Arnold.
Team manager Melissa Bree said the results were wonderful for the team and club.
“This group of girls is more than a team,” Bree said.
“They are like a family with all the girls getting on so well and Merrilyn treating them as family.
“She is a wonderful inspiring coach and deserving of the success she has achieved with this team.”
