It’s an exciting new era emerging for the Redlands Sporting Club with extensive renovations underway to bring a whole new look and feel to the popular venue.
“We are investing close to $5 million in our renovation project and this will provide a new layout and external appearance,” said club president Don Seccombe.
In addition to some bigger changes there will also be new carpet, paint, wallpaper, lights and ceiling features throughout to enhance its ambience and the customer experience.
“The new modern, classy and welcoming reception area will be revealed this week,” said Mr Seccombe.
“In addition our gaming lounge will also have a new look and the layout will be more spacious.”
He said renovations of the gaming room will be completed in three stages to minimise the disruption with the first upgraded section also to be revealed this week.
A new café near the entrance will provide more space with a kids room included for children to entertain themselves while their parents enjoy a a coffee or something from the new menu.
“Externally the front arch will be gone and replaced with a large LED screen accompanied by a modern new look and colour scheme,” said Mr Seccombe.
“Those attending for functions will be pleased with a new 13 person lift to the auditorium which replaces one of the stairwells.
“All our main internal renovations will be completed before Melbourne Cup and we are hoping many locals will take the opportunity to come down and enjoy the new look of the club and celebrate the race that stops the nation on November 6.”
