Former One Nation senator Brian Burston has launched a scathing attack on Pauline Hanson, likening her to an "un-Australian" dictator.
Senator Burston zeroed in on his former leader's decision to make herself effective party president for life.
"One Nation is the most un-Australian, un-democratic organisation in history," he told parliament.
Senator Burston, who joined Clive Palmer's United Australia Party after a bitter falling out with the One Nation leader, also took aim at Senator Hanson's chief-of-staff, James Ashby.
"Senator Hanson has declared herself president for life just like the president of China," Senator Burston said.
"James Ashby told her to because Jimmy controls her 24/7 - the not-so-faceless man of One Nation."
Senator Burston described Mr Ashby as a "diary thief" with a criminal record who brought down his old boss, former House of Representatives speaker Peter Slipper.
"The man who stalks my staff both physically and by carriage service as well as sending me vile text messages," Senator Burston said.
"The judge in the Ashbygate case described Jimmy as a psychopath - how true."
Mr Ashby allegedly labelled Senator Burston "traitorous c***" in a text message tirade last month.
The ex-One Nation senator said candidates were charged $10,000 for a tilt at the lower house and $25,000 to head up the Senate ticket, questioning whether the cash personally benefited the leader.
"Is it for her old age or more overseas trips? If only One Nation members had it so good," Senator Burston said.
He said candidates were forced to spend thousands of dollars with Mr Ashby's printing business on campaign materials.
"He's become quite wealthy since joining the One Nation gravy train," the NSW senator told parliament.
During the second half of Senator Burston's 10-minute attack, Senator Hanson sat close to him and interjected, saying he was lying.
