NEARLY 4000 entries – some from around the world – were submitted to Redlands Camera Club for the annual photographic exhibition.
A club spokesperson said Valerie Kleindienst, a member of the Redlands Camera Club, had taken out one of the exhibition’s top awards.
The exhibition will be on Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30, with the awards presentation evening on Friday, September 28.
“The entries this year came from countries all over the world including Hong Kong, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany and more – 32 countries in total,” the spokesperson said.
“We received 3101 digital entries and 856 printed entries.”
Ms Kleindienst, a member of the club for three years, received two Salon Golds, two merits and 19 acceptances.
She won best overall in the digital section and accumulated the most acceptances and awards.
Ms Kleindienst lives in Hawthorne and travels to Wellington Point for the Redlands Camera Club nights and events.
The top quarter of entries will be on display over the exhibition weekend.
The spokesperson said the club had started the photographic exhibition 21 years ago, with entries just from the Redlands.
“In 2014 we went national and this is the third year that it has been an international exhibition,” the spokesperson said.
The exhibition is on from 9am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday at the Cleveland Uniting Church, 36 Passage Street.
