THERE’S treasure to found at Victoria Point Volunteer Marine Rescue’s next boaties market on soon.
Base spokesman Nev Mills said 180 stalls would be set up at Victoria Point State School from 6am to noon on Sunday, October 14, with plenty of boating and fishing gear up for grabs.
Mr Mills said entry would cost a gold coin donation.
Gate takings would be split between the Victoria Point VMR and the school, with stall holders also charged $10 to set up.
Mr Mills encouraged everyone to visit, saying the boaties markets were one of the base’s biggest fundraisers.
The event is expected to raise up to $4000 for the VMR.
Hot food will also be sold on the day, with coffee and a sausage sizzle to be put on by deputy mayor Lance Hewlett and breakfast egg rolls available from the school’s Parents and Friends Committee.
