A LARGE branch crashed to the ground on Main Road at Wellington Point about midday on Friday.
No one was injured in the incident and no damage caused in the incident.
A nearby resident helped direct traffic around the obstruction.
The branch was cleared within a few hours.
An Energex spokesman said crews were called to fix power lines about 1.30pm.
He said that one customer was affected by a power outage.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast a 95 per cent chance of rain on Saturday and Sunday.
Temperatures in Brisbane are expected to reach a maximum of 20 on Saturday and 21 on Sunday.
A minimum temperature of 16 is forecast for both days.
Energex last month launched a campaign to reduce dangerous incidents involving contact with overhead, underground and fallen powerlines was launched on the weekend.
The campaign reminds people of the risks of electrical hazards.
