A WHITE-coloured Volvo stolen from Morningside has been used in connection with a burglary and theft at Mount Cotton.
Redland Bay police said a woman had reported to police that an intruder was in her Kingfisher Road home.
She told police she first became aware of the burglary when she woke up about 5am on Wednesday, October 17 only to find her bedrooms drawers were open.
She walked downstairs and saw a stranger walk out from a bedroom there.
Police said the person was chased from the home but not before a handbag and keys were stolen.
The offender hopped into the white-coloured Volvo outside and was driven away by another person.
The car had been stolen a week before from a Morningside address after a break and enter there.
The white Volvo’s number plate was 587XBV.

Unlawful car entries
More unlawful entries into cars have been reported to police.
Redland Bay police said five cars were targeted overnight on Friday, October 12, with two unlawful entries at Hibiscus Drive and three at Jonquil Court.
A male, wearing a grey hooded jumper and no shoes during wet weather, was later chased along Balthazar Street about 4am on Saturday, October 13 by a resident.

Theft from car
A wheel was stolen from a Toyota LandCruiser parked at Weinam Creek ferry terminal sometime between Friday, October 12 and Wednesday, October 17.
Police said a car jack had been used.

Safety forum
A VICTORIA Point community safety forum hosted by Redlands MP Kim Richards and deputy mayor Lance Hewlett will be at the Sharks Club from 6pm to 7.30pm on Thursday, October 25.
Cr Hewlett said the forum would provide information about resources, roles of police and council and crime that has occurred.
