Two exhibitions continue at the Redland Art Gallery at Cleveland until December 2 after being opened on October 19.
They are House of Hope and Australian Exotica. At the opening, the exotica collection was described as offering viewers a chance to attain a fuller understanding of the different standpoints in a relationship and the identity within it.
CEO of Australian Textile Arts Janet de Boer said the House of Hope exhibition offered expression through fabrid.
“These fabrics are sqeezed, twisted, folded and stitched. It is so much more sophisticated than tie dye,” she said.
