Ormiston College celebrated its 30th birthday with cake and games for student and staff at the school’s Foundation Day on October 22.
October 22 is the school’s official celebration date, first marked in 1988 following the school’s opening earlier that year.
This year, the student population from Prep to Year 12 along with College staff, gathered in the Somerset Sports Centre for a whole-school assembly. Headmaster, Mr Brett Webster spoke of the significant contribution 30 years of education had made to the Redlands.
The assembly included a choral presentation from the Kinder Chorus choir.
All attended sang happy birthday before 30 candles were blown out on the birthday cake. Students then spent time on giant slides and inflatable obstacle courses.
