AMERICAN R&B megastar Usher has visited Straddie in between gigs, donning traditional Quandamooka costume for a photo while sightseeing there.
The 40-year-old musician is the latest Hollywood celebrity to be snapped at the island, following visits by noted actors Matt Damon and Australian thespian Chris Hemsworth in May.
Usher has been touring Australia this month as part of the R&B Fridays Live concert series, with shows at Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide already notched up.
He will perform at Brisbane showgrounds on Friday, November 16, before travelling to Sydney for R&B Fridays Live final Australian show on Saturday.
The musician went to the Gold Coast earlier this week during timeout between shows, also visiting Straddie for rest and relaxation.
He has managed to narrowly avoid an influx of school leavers to both destinations for schoolies celebrations.
Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation chief executive Cameron Costello said Usher was taken around Straddie for sightseeing by ranger Matt Burns.
The celebrity yesterday posted an Instagram photo of himself dressed in traditional Indigenous costume, replete with white face paint and headdress, with the message: “Visiting the Quandamooka people here in Queensland.”
Other photos from his south-east Queensland adventures include snaps of him with a wallaby and koala.
