Take a look at some of the pets up for adoption and Redlands City Council Animal Shelter.
Denali: Male cattle dog, 2-years-old.
Smart and affectionate, has basic manners and walks well on lead. Social with dogs that enjoy play but are not rough, prefers playful females. Can be shy with new people and in new surroundings but adjusts quickly when given confidence and guidance by someone he trusts.
Would suit a couple who enjoy bush walking or outdoorsy type of lifestyle who are willing to bring him along and let him enjoy life. He needs someone who will gently show him the ropes and will encourage him when he isn’t sure. Denali is a gentle boy who is quite proud, he trots with a sense of duty and is very intent on keeping clean. Adoption fee of $330.
The home he needs:
- No children, or young families
- best suited to singles or couples
- needs to be inside outside
- Dog company must be gentle and playful he doesn't like rough play or rough males who tackle or wrestle.
- adventure loving families/outdoorsy
- people willing to give him confidence and offer gentle support and guidance
- families willing to keep his body active and also my mind with training and daily enrichment.
Brian: male wolfhound x, nine months old.
Brian found himself lost without a home or family, he came to the shelter frightened and confused. It didn’t take him long to see that everyone was here to help and so we all saw Brian come out of his shell and show his big smiling personality!
He is young bouncy, goofy and loves to go for big walks, he is dog social and didn’t seem to bothered by cats. Brian takes everything in his stride and always manages to turn everything into something to be excited about. His new family would need a great sense of humour and a nice sized yard to accommodate his lanky fun loving nature.

- How much space do you have?
- Do you have adequate housing to keep a pet? (i.e. do you have an enclosure and shelter; does your rental agreement allow you to have an animal?)
- Does anyone have allergies / health issues in your home?
- What nature of animal would be best suited? (i.e. active / passive)
- Do you have finances available to cover food, vet care, toys,
