PARENTS of stillborn babies delivered at Redland Hospital are invited to attend a commemorative service there.
Chaplain Peter McFerran said the service would be hosted at the hospital’s Chapel of the Good Shepard on Saturday, November 24 from 10am, with tea and coffee to be served afterwards.
Stillborn baby memorial services are held at hospital’s chapel once every three months.
The hospital also has a stillborn memorial garden, refurbished this month by the Redland City Lions Club.
The garden was set up at the hospital by the Redlands Lions Club almost two decades ago for parents of stillborn babies.
Care was taken by volunteers to not disturb precious memorials there.
A Redland City Lions Club spokesman said donations were needed to help the group recoup costs for the repair works.
