DAMAGE to cables has cut landline and internet services to parts of Alexandra Hills.
A Telstra spokesperson said up to 269 customers had been affected by the outages since Friday.
The spokesperson said repairs were underway but connections might not be restored until Thursday evening, the spokesperson said.
“We are sorry for the inconvenience this will have caused local customers,” the spokesperson said.
Telstra had advised customers that damage to cables was caused by construction in the area.
One woman, who lives at Alexandra Hills, said she was told earlier by provider Optus that her home would be re-connected on Monday, once Telstra had fixed the problem.
“I am so fed up with bad service, internet and excuses,” she said.
“Apparently there is around 400 homes without internet or home phone in Alexandra Hills, I am one of them.
“I arrived home from holidays early Saturday morning to discover this.
“Was told it would be fixed by Monday (but) now told Thursday possibly.”
Optus has been contacted for comment.
