AUSTRALIA’S third Taco Bell restaurant opens at Cleveland on Saturday (tomorrow).
Taco Bell’s Australian rights holder Collins Foods is planning an epic opening day party with merchandise to give away, prizes to win, a DJ playing music and free Taco Bell for a year for one customer.
Collins Foods general manager of emerging brands Paula Nelson said 120 team members plus managers – including some former Sizzler staff members – had been employed by the business ahead of the opening.
There was plenty of interest with more than 600 people applying for positions.
The store has an open kitchen enabling customers to see their food being prepared.
Ms Nelson said Taco Bell in Australia was known for serving food that was freshly prepared, full of flavour and good value for money.
Customers can choose the music they would like played while in the restaurant, get free soft drink refills and sit inside or outside.
Craft beer and frozen margaritas are also on the menu.
The first Taco Bell in Australia opened at Annerley in November last year.
Taco Bell opens at Cleveland on Saturday (December 8) at 9am. The drive-through will be open from Saturday.
Taco Bell is on the site of the Cleveland Sizzler which was demolished earlier this year.
The restaurant will be open from 9am to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 9am to 10pm Sunday to Thursday.
