Fallen AFL champion Ben Cousins has been granted another adjournment in a Perth court as negotiations continue over 18 charges stemming from his arrest earlier this year for alleged family violence.
The 40-year-old drug addict was arrested at a Canning Vale house in August and allegedly had 13 grams of methylamphetamine hidden internally.
He was charged with 16 offences including aggravated burglary, aggravated stalking and possessing a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply.
Last week, it emerged Cousins had been charged with a further two counts of possessing a prohibited drug and appeared briefly in Armadale Magistrates Court via video link from Hakea prison.
Those matters were adjourned to join his remaining 16 offences in Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
The premiership player, who appeared tanned and healthy, spoke only to say "thank you" to the magistrate at the end of proceedings.
Cousins is due back in court on January 31.
The court previously heard the former West Coast captain allegedly threatened his ex-partner Maylea Tinecheff, who has a violence restraining order against him.
"I'm going to kill you. I'm going to take your life and your freedom and the things you love the most," he allegedly told her.
Cousins also allegedly said he was going to bury her car "where she would survive for a couple of days, then he would bring the kids to play so she would hear them but would not be able to get to them".
The Brownlow medallist was released from Acacia prison in January about two months shy of his one-year sentence for stalking Tinecheff, who is due to face court on Friday on two charges including drug driving.
