The culture and customs of Poland was celebrated with PolArt at the Redland Performing Arts Centre from December 27 to January 6.
The event combined theatre, dance, music, literature, film and cuisine, offering a colourful tableau at Cleveland. Welcomed to the event was Mayor Karen Williams, who joined some events on stage and was able to sing along with songs from her own Polish heritage.
Polish ambassador Michal Kolodziejski said this festival marked the centenary of Poland gaining independence and showed the people’s pride and passion. The event attracted visitors from around the world.
