NOTED crime writer Candice Fox will visit Capalaba Library as part of a tour to launch her latest book.
Ms Fox will release Gone By Midnight later this month, published by Penguin Random House.
The novel is the third in Ms Fox’s Crimson Lake series, which is set in the gritty, claustrophic heat of Far North Queensland.

Gone by Midnight follows private investigators Ted and Amanda’s perilous search to find a missing boy.
“Crimson Lake is where bad people come to disappear – and where eight-year-old boys vanish into thin air,” the synopsis reads.
Ms Fox will be at Capalaba Library on Thursday, February 21 from 2pm to introduce the book.
Books will be available for purchase and signing.
The Sydney-based writer previously collaborated with celebrated author James Patterson.
Their first title Never Never quickly became a New York Times number one best seller.
Ms Fox said she had interviewed a serial killer on death row in California, later following his directions to try and find missing remains in mountains behind Los Angeles.
“It was a once in a lifetime experience to sit with this man face to face and try to understand why he committed these crimes while simultaneously trying not to be his next victim,” she said.
“You only get those kind of answers by being brave enough to ask the question.
“… As a crime writer there’s nothing as valuable as hearing about evil straight from the source.”
