SHOPPERS enjoyed free coffee and a chat with police at Capalaba Park Shopping Centre.
The event was all part of the Coffee with a Cop program, which is aimed at building rapport between police and the community.
Stickers were handed out to children at the Coffee Club today, with police on stand-by to talk to patrons about crime prevention and policing.

Senior Constable Sam Schofield said officers answered questions about road rules, crime investigation processes and queries about issues affecting youth.
“We had a lot of kids come up and get stickers,” she said.
“It was great to see them.”
The program was started four years ago by Senior Constable Schofield and Capalaba Police Beat administration officer Pauline Dunn.
Free coffees are given to patrons who can talk to police about crime and law enforcement.
Coffee with a Cop is sponsored by generous individuals, businesses and organisations.
Eric Angles, editor of Writers’ Reserve, said he had helped police host free Coffee with a Cop events for the past four years.
Mr Angles said he was motivated to help the community.
“It makes the community a little bit better,” he said.
“I believe in paying it forward.”
Other QPS community liaision initiatives include the Cops Care teddy program.
The program was launched by Capalaba Police Beat’s Acting Senior Constable Vrinda McCauley about one year ago.
