QUEENSLAND Rail has announced rail grinding works to be carried out parts of the Cleveland line.
Rail grinding works are scheduled to occur between Cleveland and Manly from 10pm on Monday, February 18 to 5am the next day.
Works will also be carried out from Park Road to Lindum from 10pm on Sunday, February 17 and from Lindum to Fisherman Island on Tuesday, February 19.
Residents may hear loud noise for up to 20 minutes at a time as the grinding machine moves progressively along the tracks.
In a statement, Queensland Rail said grinding was essential maintenance work, which could be noisy but resulted in a safer, smoother and quieter journey for our customers.
Times and locations may change to meet operational requirements.
Queensland Rail apologised for any inconvenience and thanked the community for its patience.
